Getting Started with Crystal Healing
The use of crystals in holistic healing practices is not new; Crystals have been associated with specific body parts and organs for centuries. Ancient civilizations used them for their powers and energy in rituals, medicine and divination. They were used as protective talismans and amulets.
Even today, crystals are very popular; whether it is their use in lithotherapy ( see our article on celebrities who use the power of crystals to heal themselves ) or their use in the manufacture of beauty and technological products such as satellites, mobile phones, televisions, watches and computers.
How do crystals heal?
Crystals heal holistically, which comes from the Greek “holos” meaning totality, through their vibration and resonance. The holistic approach takes into account the personality in its entirety, thus acting on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels of the being. In contrast, traditional medicine offers an approach focused on an organ or the symptom(s) of a disease.
One of the first researchers to look scientifically at the power of crystals was Marcel Vogel (1917-1991), a researcher at IBM for 27 years and inventor of the magnetic coating for hard drives, phosphor technology and systems liquid crystal.
Observing the growth of the crystals under a microscope, Mr. Vogel noticed that they took on the shape of whatever he thought of. His hypothesis was that vibrations are the result of the constant assembly and disassembly of bonds between molecules.
He also studied the metaphysical power of the quartz crystal and proved that crystals can store thoughts, similar to how audio cassettes use magnetic energy to record sound.

Learn the basics ( you can check out our stone guide as well as our stone suggestions for beginners ), then let your intuition guide you.
